ROBERT ALDA
"Natural"
Screening

03.07. - 09.08.2009

Curated by Malin Barth

Natural is one of a long series of video performances fully using possibilities given by video to performance artist. Because of them the performer can stretch a little natural boundaries of time and space in his favour. Location can be chosen spontaneously, even when it is cupboard / wardrobe in his home or remote mountain top. Also duration of registered ritual can be translated into speed adequate to optimal expression but often outside of human body limits.

Videoregistering of performative practice.Repeted/remade ritual from 'Natural NR1' inspired again by observing a caterpillar.

Filmed on location in northern Poland (near Suwalki).Video time: 55 seconds. Registering time: approx 12 minutes.
